Expect Excellence

Our products

The mackerel season is short and starts in August and ends normally in October (190.000 tons). The Norwegian horse mackerel fishery is very uncertain and without any quota. The main season is October/November.

Product range

The main product from all our pelagic items (herring, mackerel, horse mackerel and capelin) is round frozen. From herring, we also sluppy herringflaps and single fillets skin on.

Food security

Coast exports seafood equivalent to approximately 1,2 million meals every day. In order to ensure quality and healthy products, it is essential to have good food security, tracing, fish welfare and sustainable production. This is part of our philosophy.

  • One of Norwegian seafood export’s major advantages is its good reputation, but it is not enough to have a clean ocean and sustainable natural resources without documentable routines.

Certificates

Maaløy Seafood will always aspire to the strictest food security standards in the world. We have MSC certification for pelagic fish, and our facility is also certified according to HACCP standards.
